Introduction brief

Our Introduction courses are designed for teachers who are new to Cambridge or to a specific qualification or programme and want to be able to deliver their content confidently.

Our Introduction courses aim to enable teachers to:

• learn about the key elements of your syllabus and the Cambridge learner attributes 
• explore the scheme of work to become familiar with the Cambridge approach to teaching and learning 
• understand the Cambridge Teacher Standards and how these are reflected in the Cambridge Classroom 
• review a range of teaching ideas and how to use these in their planning 
• understand the assessment objectives and marking criteria, and how to apply these to candidate responses 
• know a range of further professional development resources and opportunities to support their teaching practice 
• share ideas with other Cambridge teachers. 

The work packages here will provide the materials needed to update the Introduction courses across all modalities (F2F, virtual and online).

Each work package explains the task in detail and provides templates and exemplars where necessary.
