Online Focus on Assessment course: Writing

The trainer booklet is only available to the trainer and provides them with guidance on how to lead the workshop. The trainer booklet has been uploaded below. Please check your brief as to whether you need to complete the Face-to-Face version or the Virtual version of the trainer booklet. 

Please go through the trainer booklet and add any additional syllabus specific information to support the trainer with their delivery. Such as, but not exclusive to:

• Any particular challenges you see candidates having with the assessment.
• Anything of note regarding the assessment structure or assessment objectives you feel teachers need reminding of.
• Any concrete examples to bring to life the PERT summary.
• Points to raise regarding the mark schemes for each marking activity. Are there any words or notations the trainer should point out to teachers.
• A suggestion for how the trainer runs the marking activity.

Please add anything you feel would best support the trainer deliver highly effective and valuable training for our teachers. Please do not remove anything from the trainer booklet but contact us if you notice any errors.
