• OR Work package 1b: Write candidate example scripts and marking feedback

    Section outline

    • Highlighted

The materials for this work package provide an opportunity for participants to mark candidate responses. To help make the most out of the marking activity, participants will be focusing on particular sections and/or questions of challenge or interest while still having the chance to mark all of the whole-script examples if they wish.

In some cases (because the Introduction courses is delivered before the first exam sitting), it may be necessary to create candidate example scripts for any papers/components that have changed significantly.

For this work package, you need to:

      1. Write candidate example scripts in a Word document. The number of candidate example candidate scripts and papers/components as been indicated in the brief/contract sent out to you as part of your commission. Make sure each candidate example script is clearly labelled so we know which Specimen Paper the work relates to. We will transfer the text you produce onto the PDF specimen papers once you have submitted it to us.

      2. Provide the marking feedback for each candidate example script. This marking feedback is vital to allow participants to understand how marks are gained and lost. When writing the marking feedback, please note that:
        • any feedback and marks are in accordance with the published mark schemes
        • it is clear in your explanations why the candidates were awarded the marks
        • there is enough detail that participants do not require any further explanation.

All of the specimen QPs, MSs and the syllabus have been uploaded for you onto Kiteworks/Base Camp.
